It is now a huge business concern. They employ more than 1,700 staff, sell stairlifts in 40 countries worldwide and have 9 subsidiaries.
They have three stairlift models, plus an outdoor stairlift and a children’s version. They also manufacture homelifts and steplifts.
New Designs
Recently Stannah brought out a new range of upholstery designs for their Solus stairlift, which they hope will give their chairs a modern feel. There are seven new designs, each one has a name to reflect what the design stands for and there are some bold new colours.
The new designs were first featured in their ‘take a second look’ campaign, where a series of photographs were commissioned showing the stairlifts outdoors in places like the City of London and the Sussex countryside.
The Tablet App
Another great innovation from the company is the introduction of its tablet app. When a Stannah representative comes to your home you will be able to visualise in 3D the various stairlift options on a tablet.
The app enables the representative to put an image of your stairs onto the tablet and then superimpose the stairlift on top of the picture. You can see exactly what the chair will look like in your home in various positions on your stairs and with the chair opened and closed.
This allows you to choose a design and colour that suits you and your home and there’s no disappointment when the chair is fitted. Stannah offer an express fitting service for their straight stairlifts and one can be installed within a day. Curved stairlifts will take longer, between 8 and 10 days.
The company has worked hard to build up their excellent reputation for the quality of their products and their after care service and they have announced that their 40th anniversary will be celebrated through a series of special events throughout the year, so watch this space…
