A disabled riding group in the Scottish town of Huntly, Aberdeenshire are requesting volunteers to help them continue the service they offer to people with physical disabilities in the local area.

The group hold riding meets at the Oyne Equestrian Centre on Thursday mornings, currently attended by 15 members. In order to ensure that the group can continue to operate their œfun and friendly weekly riding sessions, Strathbogie Riding for the Disabled need people who can spare some time to help out.

No horse riding experience is required, volunteers need only have a positive attitude towards helping out in the community.

Strathbogie Riding for the Disabled have recently received planning permission for a large building on the site, but are unable to provide the building themselves. As well as volunteers, the riding group are requesting anyone who may be able to donate a building, or assist with its construction, to get in contact.

If you feel that you can help the group out “ either by volunteering or via the donation of a building to the site “ please contact Lynne Little on 01651 891733 or via email at lynne.little@gmail.com.
